I have really enjoyed learning new technology tools to integrate into my lessons. Here are some of my favorites that I have learned in this class:
Music Tech Tools
One resource I found very helpful was the Tech Tools Hunt assignment. In this assignment I had the chance to reflect on the use of technology tools in the music classroom and their application to the SAMR Model. While I included a tool that I had already used (and have discussed in my blog) Chrome Music SongLab, I discovered and was able to explore Powtoon as a resource for my classes. While I use alot of YouTube videos in my classroom, I have been trying to explore other areas of video integration into my classes that are more kid-friendly. I am still working through EdPuzzle, and haven't decided if I really like that or not; however, in working with PowToon, I found it easier to use and upload as a resource for students. I used PowToon to develop a recorder video for students to use to review in-class material and hopefully help reinforce concepts to my English Language Learners. I am hoping to be able to add more videos, I just need to find the time now.
Here is my Music Tech Tools chart, which I hope to continue to add on-to.

PBL Learning Activity
Another resource/artifact that I enjoyed creating was the Problem-Based Learning Activity. I based my activity on what I began with students last year, and incorporated some of the new technology tools that I have learned in this class. While it took some brainstorming and some work through the essential questions, I really enjoyed being able to include some of the new tools that I learned, such as ClassHook, for engaging videos to help drive the project. This assignment also gave me the opportunity to explore the music standards more in depth. Since being revised in 2014, I have had limited time to really dive deeper into their application in my classes. This activity allowed me to really analyze "was I applying the updated standards in my classes with students?" It also gave me an opportunity to further develop a lesson I could really use with my students.
